Police received a frantic call from a male at a John Street residence. He stated that another resident of the building was chasing him around with a knife.
When police arrived they found the complainant locked in a room and the suspect locked in another room. After investigation police arrested a 53 year old Barrie man for weapons dangerous, utter death threat and fail to comply with probation.
The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.
