(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) A vehicle stop recently conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in the driver facing numerous Highway Traffic related offences.
On September 29, 2013 an OPP officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment was on patrol in Bobcaygeon and observed a vehicle being operated on East Street South with no validation on the licence plate. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and the ensuing investigation revealed that the plates were not authorized for the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation Karen PATTERSON, 50 years of age, of Bobcaygeon, was charged with using plate not authorized for motor vehicle, drive motor vehicle with no validation on plate and drive motor vehicle without a licence.
