(NOTTAWASAGA, ON) On September 29, 2013 at 1:19am, the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a possible break and enter in progress on Wales Ave North in the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio.
Officers responded immediately but while on route, they were updated that it may not be a break and enter but an intoxicated male mistaking the residence for his own. The home owner refused to open the door and spoke to the male through the door; the male party then walked northbound on Wales Ave and disappeared up the street.
The male was located by Police within minutes and arrested for public intoxication and held until sober. The 32 year old Town of New Tecumseth man was issued a Provincial Offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place under the Liquor Licence Act of Ontario.
Twelve minutes after the above occurrence, Nottawasaga OPP were called to Knight Street in the Town of New Tecumseth where the home owners noticed a male sleeping near the side door of their residence.
Police attended and placed the male under arrest for being intoxicated in a public place. A 44 year old Town of New Tecumseth male was arrested, held until sober and issued a provincial offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
