Jamie FINLAYSON – Drunk Driving

(WEST PERTH, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers have laid charges against a driver and a passenger stemming from a traffic stop on September 28, 2013. Just before 7:00 p.m. officers responded to a complaint of two intoxicated males leaving a Morenz Drive address. Officers located the suspect vehicle, a grey Honda travelling southbound on Wellington Street. Officers followed and stopped the erratic driver on Kent Street. The driver was displaying several signs that he was impaired by alcohol and was promptly arrested for Impaired Operation.

The driver was transported to the Sebringville OPP Detachment for breath tests which the driver later refused to provide.

As a result, Jamie FINLAYSON, 33, from West Perth has been charged with Impaired Operation and Fail to Accompany Peace Officer for Breath Sample. He has a scheduled court appearance set for November 4, 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Stratford.

The passenger, also displaying several signs that he was intoxicated by alcohol took off running from police while officers searched the car. Officers followed the male to the nearby river bank and arrested him for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place.

As a result, Cary LEE, 38 from Stratford was ticketed with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place.
