(Selwyn Township, ON) – On Monday October 1, 2013 at approximately 12:44 pm Peterborough County OPP received a report of a possible impaired driver travelling on Buckhorn Road. The vehicle was reported to the police to be a silver Dodge Dakota being operated in an aggressive manner by a male driver.
Officers patrolling the area located the suspect vehicle, on Curve Lake Road where it had been involved in a single motor vehicle collision. The driver identified as 72 year old Kenneth DOBSON of Oshawa, had received injuries as a result of the collision and Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene. DOBSON was transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for medical care.
As a result of the investigation DOBSON has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor vehicle and Having Over 80mgs of Alcohol in his blood.
DOBSON was released from custody with a future court date set in Peterborough Provincial Courts for 14 November 2013.
