Yesterday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. an officer while on general patrol observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Base Line at a high rate of speed.
The officer initiated a traffic stop and learned that the female driver had a current conviction for driving while under suspension and was also suspended for unpaid fines.
The 53-year-old St. Thomas woman was charged with two counts of driving while under suspension. Her vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 7 days.
