(TEMAGAMI, ON) Member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division (HSD) was on patrol on October 5, 2013 at approximately 9:43 a.m. and observed a vehicle attempting to secure its load.
Further investigation resulted in several charges.
Basil MAURER 53 years of Timmins is charged with Driving while under suspension – section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act, Use plate not authorized for vehicle – section 12(1)(d) of the Highway Traffic Act, and Operate motor vehicle no insurance – section 2(1)(a) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
The vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
The defendant will appear in Haileybury Ontario Court of Justice on December 12, 2013.
