(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 59 year old male from Bluewater with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. Just after 10:30 p.m. on October 5, 2013 a Huron County OPP officer observed a blue Ford Explorer travelling southbound on Bluewater Veterans Highway at the north end of Bayfield. Officers noticed the Explorer nearly collided with a road construction barricade. A traffic stop was completed at the intersection of Bluewater Veterans Highway and The Square in Bayfield.
Upon speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening test was completed which the driver failed. He was arrested and transported to the Huron OPP detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath; both were above the legal limit.
Dale PECK, 59, from Bluewater has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 28, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
