Gun & Drugs Seizure

The London Police Service seized a firearm, ammunition and over $120,000 worth of drugs and cash.

On Wednesday, October 2, 2013, members the London Police Guns and Drugs Section, consisting of members of the London Police Service and RCMP, conducted a vehicle stop at Highbury Avenue at Hamilton road.

A backpack was searched and the following items were seized:
– 1026 grams of powder cocaine – $102,600.00
– 9mm Sig Sauer handgun with high capacity mag containing five rounds of 9mm

53-year-old Mahmoud Osman, 24-year-old Jerome Williams, and 24-year-old Michael Nguyen, all from London, were arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
– Possess restricted or prohibited firearm without hold a licence and registration certificate, contrary to section 91(1);
– Unlicenced person possess prohibited/restricted weapon, contrary to section 91(2);
– Possess restricted/prohibited weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized, contrary to section 92(1);
– Possess loaded regulated firearm, contrary to section 95(1);
– Two counts of carry concealed weapon, contrary to section 90(1);
– Two counts of possession of a firearm in motor vehicle, contrary to section 94(1); and
– Possess schedule I substance for trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

As a result of the stop, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Osgoode Drive. Seized was 1814 grams of marihuana bud, valued at $18,140.00.

Jerome Williams and Michael Nguyen have subsequently been charged with possess schedule II substance, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Jerome Williams was further charged with four counts of fail to comply with condition of judicial release, contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
