There was a meeting in Bluevale last night regarding the proposed
animal control bylaw. A Citizen took the podium for her
pre-book ten minutes. Within the first few minutes, Mayor
Gowing was interrupting her, not allowing her to continue. The
Citizen stated she had talked to her lawyer, and was advised she was
allowed to say what she had planned.
Mayor Gowing continued to interrupt, this quickly turned the entire
gallery against council. One gentleman in the crowed yelled
‘she didn’t interrupt you, when you were speaking, let her
talk’. This was met with cheers and applause from the
gallery. Freedom Man asked the gallery to vote, to see if the
gallery wanted to hear what the lady had come to say. The vote
appeared to be unanimous for her to continue.
Once Gowing interrupted the Lady, it turned into an adversarial
process, and the Councillors only seemed interested in defending the
current draft, word for word.
Freedom Man yelled the F-Word several times, in a vulgar
demonstration of how a degenerate would act. Freedom Man
continued and stated that he heard a member of council swearing
loudly one evening, for all the neighbors to hear. Freedom Man
asked if that is how a member of council should behave.
Freedom Man did not mention which member of council it was, but the
Deputy Mayor turned so red, it looked like he was going to require
medical attention. Gowing stated that using that” language
was not appropriate
