A Barrie Police officer on general patrol observed a suspicious vehicle with two males parked in a parking lot on Commerce Park Drive. The officer investigated both males in their 20’s from New Tecumseth due to the strong odour of marijuana in the vehicle.
The Officer located 116 grams of marijuana in the vehicle along with 100’s of empty ziplock bags. Both males were subsequently arrested for possession of controlled substance.
One male was also wanted by Nottawasaga OPP on a warrant for breaching his recognizance. He was later turned over to OPP.
Both males now face a future court date for possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
