A 29 year old London man has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marihuana after a traffic stop in South Huron on October 9, 2010 at approximately 2:00 am. Huron OPP officers stopped a vehicle on Crediton Road at McTaggart Line to check the sobriety of the driver. Upon speaking to the driver, the officers detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. The officer read a demand for the driver to provide a roadside sample of his breath and the driver complied. The reading was not high enough for an arrest however while searching the driver’s vehicle for further alcohol, the officers located a quantity of suspected cannabis marihuana.
As a result, Ryan BEATTIE was arrested and later released with a court date of December 12, 2010 in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich, to answer to his charge.
