On October 11, 2013 at 4:30 p.m., the Guelph Police attended to a Scottsdale Drive residence for an assault complaint. It is alleged that an adult male went to the address to pick up his 15-year-old daughter. A verbal altercation ensued between the father and a 16-year-old male that lives at this home. During the argument the male youth displayed a knife and eventually threw it at the girl’s father. The knife missed and the youth was immediately taken into the home by his mother. The youth was arrested by police. No injuries resulted from this incident.
The male youth has been charged with assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous. He will appear in court on November 20, 2013.
