Chief Makes an Arrest

In response to media inquiries, the incident involving a male being arrested by Chief Duncan is being released.

On Thursday, October 10, 2013 at approximately 5:15 a.m., the Chief of the London Police Service, Chief Brad Duncan, was prepared to take his dog for a walk, when he observed suspicious activity with two males around a vehicle in a neighbouring driveway.

When confronted, one male fled. Chief Duncan arrested the other male and took physical control of him as he resisted during the incident. Police were called and a uniformed member attended to continue with the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Kyle Pettigrew of London, was charged with the trespassing at night, contrary to section 177, and resist arrest, contrary to section 129(a), both of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The London Police Service is encouraging everyone to look out for your neighbours by calling the police to report any suspicious activity within your neighbourhoods.
