(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the theft of a trailer and boat stolen from the boat launch at Osprey Lane, in the former Carden Township.
On September 24, 2013 the OPP attended the boat launch and initiated an investigation. The owner of the boat and trailer noticed that he had a flat tire on the trailer. He left the trailer and boat at the launch in order to obtain the materials required to fix the tire. Upon returning to the boat launch the boat and trailer were gone.
Stolen was a twenty foot Prince Craft Super Pro fishing boat, yellow and blue in colour with a 200 horse power Mercury outboard motor. The licence number for the boat is ON3260900. The boat was on a homemade trailer with Ontario licence K5396F.
