(ALNWICK-HALDIMAND, ON) – On Wednesday October 16, 2013 at approximately 7:10 am Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended to a motor vehicle collision on County Road 2 east of the village of Grafton where two farm workers were ejected from a flatbed trailer that was being towed by a tractor. The trailer was struck by a vehicle.
The tractor and trailer was travelling westbound on County Road 2 in the rainy darkness with nine workers when it was struck from behind by a 2003 Chevrolet Impala. Two workers were immediately ejected from the trailer landing on the road. Three more workers were also injured and the five were taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Ricarda, Rodrica DANIEL, 41, from Grafton, Ontario has been issued a Provincial Offence Notice for the offence of slow moving vehicle sign not attached to rear of vehicle or tractor under the Highway Traffic Act.
