(ENNISKILLEN TOWNSHIP, ON) A 46 year old Sarnia man is in custody awaiting a bail appearance after a collision was investigated by Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
On October 17, 2013 just after 4:00 p.m. at Petrolia Line and Marthaville Road, OPP officers responded to a call about a two vehicle collision. During the course of the collision investigation, OPP officers arrested the male driver of a Jeep vehicle who appeared to be showing signs of alcohol consumption.
As the investigation continued, OPP officers located a loaded .22 calibre rifle in the Jeep vehicle.
The male driver will be in a Sarnia courtroom October 18, 2013 to speak to the Impaired Driving, and Driving Over the Legal Limit allegations. The investigation is continuing and further charges are expected in relation to the firearm.
The other driver reported minor injuries.
