(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) In the early morning hours of Sunday October 20, 2013, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere) program on Line 32 south of Sebringville.
Shortly before 1 a.m. officers stopped a Pontiac sedan and spoke with the female driver. Officers detected the odour of freshly burnt Marihuana inside the vehicle, and observed some suspected illicit pills on the centre console of the vehicle. Officers arrested the driver and the male passenger for possession of narcotics. The driver, who displayed signs of impairment, was administered tests at the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville by a Drug Recognition officer. The results of the tests determined that the driver was impaired.
Dawn LANGFORD (28) of Stratford has been charged with, “driving while ability impairedâ€Â, and “possession of a schedule I substance – other drugâ€Â.
Michael LANGFORD (23) of Stratford has been charged with, “fail to comply with probation orderâ€Â, and “possession of a schedule I substance – other drugâ€Â.
Both individuals have to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on December 23, 2013 to answer to these charges.
