LAMBTON OPP RESPOND TO FARM FATALITY

(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) On October 24, 2013 just before 4:00 p.m., Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call from Lambton Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The EMS was en route to the 1200 block of Stanley Line in response to a call of an adult male apparently having been injured by a farming combine.

Lambton OPP, Lambton EMS, and fire fighters from Becher Station, all responded to the call. Lambton OPP investigation at this time shows that the 79 year old St. Clair Township man who was working in one of his fields, was discovered in distress by his son, however the man did succumb to the injuries that he sustained.

The Ministry of Labour has been advised and has attended the scene of the incident.

There is no further information at this early point of the investigation but a post-mortem is scheduled for October 25, 2013.
