(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Friday, October 25, 2013 at approximately 7:00 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle on Wilcox Side Road in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. While investigating the incident, officers found another 8 vehicles that had been entered some time overnight. All vehicles were unlocked. Items taken included loose change, GPSs and cell phones.
Grey County OPP is reminding the public that thefts from vehicles are a crime of opportunity. An unlocked door or an open window is an invitation to thieves. You can prevent these thefts by remembering to always roll up the windows, lock the doors, and keep valuables out of plain view. Remember – “Lock it or Lose itâ€Â.
