OPP INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS FIRE – FEMALE ARRESTED

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment, Norfolk County Fire Department and Norfolk Paramedics were called to an Evergreen Hill Road, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Friday, October 25, 2013 at approximately 11:01 a.m., Norfolk County OPP responded to a fire at Holy Trinity High School.

Members of the Norfolk County Fire Department arrived on scene and located a fire in the girls washroom located on the main floor. The fire was subsequently extinguished by attending fire fighters with minor damage being reported to a washroom stall.

As a result of police investigation, a 13 year old female was subsequently arrested and charged with Arson and Mischief Over $5000 dollars.

The name of youth is not being released as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The youth is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date in order to answer to the charges.
