(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Haldimand County detachment has charged a 13 year old youth with several criminal charges after investigating a threatening complaint at a Helena St, Dunnville, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Monday October 28th, 2013 at approximately 10:10 am Police were called to the Dunnville Secondary School to investigate a threatening complaint. The threat had been received through a social media site and was directed at several students within the school.
As a result of the initial investigation the school was placed in a “Hold and Secure†procedure according to the School Safety Plan for approximately 1 hour.
The investigation was conducted and a 13 year old male from Haldimand County, ON was located at his residence and arrested.
He has been charged with 5 counts of Uttering Threats, 1 count of Intimidation and I count of Mischief and is currently being held in custody. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON today, Tuesday October 29th, 2013 for a bail hearing in answer to the charges.
