(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On October 24th, 2013 at approximately 2:00 a.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report that several males entered a residence on Pinegrove Road stealing numerous items and injuring one of the two residents.
An initial OPP investigation revealed that 7 males had entered the above residence and stole the following items:
1) IGA pump action 12 gauge shot gun with serial #353643
2) Norinco 22 calibre hand gun with serial #961536
3) Movado watch
4) Gold bracelet
5) Cash
6) Assorted gold coins
7) 2 – IPhones
8) IPad
During this theft one of the two residents at the above residence a 20 year old male was struck by one of the above 7 males and received minor injuries in this assault.
The above 7 males are described as 6 having dark skin, non-white one of whom is further described as heavy set and in his twenties the remaining male being possibly of Hispanic descent also in his twenties.
In addition Police believe 2 motor vehicles where used in the break and enter one of which could possibly be a Dodge Charger or a similar style motor vehicle.
The investigation into this crime is ongoing under the direction of the Huronia West Crime Unit.
