(Lansdowne,ON.) – On the 28th of October 2013, Ontario Provincial Police in Leeds and 1000 Islands received a report of a break in at the Lansdowne Landfill Site located on County Rd 34 west of the village of Lansdowne.
On the 28th of October 2013 at around 7:45 a.m. O.P.P were called by an employee at the site reporting the break in.
The investigation determined that sometime between the site closing at 5 pm on Saturday 26th of October and reopening on Monday 28th October, culprits broke into the office on the site.
Entry to the office was gained by smashing the window.
Once inside culprits emptied and stole contents contained in the first aid kit kept on site. Some of the contents included over the counter medications.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
