(Marmora, ON) – On September 14, 2013 Central Hastings O.P.P. stopped a vehicle on Highway #62 in the City of Belleville after receiving a traffic complaint about unsafe driving habits. As result of that investigation 19 year old Drew REID of Marmora, ON was charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle While Performing a Stunt/Careless Driving and Novice Driver Blood Alcohol Concentration Above Zero.
On October 26, 2013 less than 44 days later Central Hastings O.P.P. stopped REID again driving on Highway # 7 in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake at a speed of 132km/h in a posted 80km/h zone. For a second time he was charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle While Performing a Stunt – Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. His driver’s licence was seized and his vehicle was impounded both for a period of 7 days. He will appear in Belleville Traffic Court on November 13, 2013.
