(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) – Members of the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the assistance of a North East OPP Regional Canine Unit have located the body of an adult male along the east shore line of Lake Victoria in Gauthier Township. The incident occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. on October 30, 2013.
As a result of the search for an overdue fisherman reported to police on October 30 the victim was found submerged in the water near the shore by the Canine Unit. The victim has been positively identified as Roman KOHUT age 67 of Kirkland Lake.
The investigation into the cause of death is continuing, foul play is not suspected.
