(Morris-Turnberry, ON) On October 31, 2010 shortly after 1:00 am, a traffic stop was conducted by a Huron OPP officer on London Road. After speaking to the driver, the officer gathered enough grounds to read the demand for the roadside alcotest. The driver complied with the demand and failed the test. He was then arrested and taken to the Exeter OPP Detachment where he met with a qualified Intoxilizer Technician to provide two more samples of his breath. The readings confirmed that the driver had a blood alcohol content above the legal limit of 80 milligrams.
As a result of the traffic stop, William OLIVER (23) of Culross Township has been charged with one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He will return to the Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham on January 20, 2011 to answer to his charge.
