(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is currently investigating a theft after police were contacted by a concerned citizen at a Norfolk Street North, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at approximately 10:32 p.m., a male attended Wendy’s Restaurant and subsequently removed a poppy donation box from the counter. The male then subsequently left the restaurant and fled in an unknown direction.
A witness had observed the male suspect take the donation box from the counter and police are looking to speak to that witness. They are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
The suspect is being described as a white male, 40 years of age, 5’4, short brown hair, scruffy in appearance, and was wearing a green military style jacket.
