In nine separate incidents this weekend, nine people were charged with liquor offences under the Liquor Licence Act. Of particular concern is the number of underage drinkers found this weekend and the number of people in motor vehicles with open liquor. This has the potential to be a very deadly combination. One youth was so impaired by alcohol that he was thought to have died. He did not. In addition to the above offences, we also have an assortment of criminal charges that were laid related to alcohol.
