(SUDBURY, ON) A 42 year old Sudbury man is in serious condition after being struck on Highway #144 in Chelmsford at approximatelty 6:50 PM last evening. Investigation has revelaed that the male stepped out to cross the highway and was struck by an eastbound dumptruck. He was taken to Health Sciences North and remains in hospital with serious life threatening injuries. The east bound lanes of Highway #144 were closed for several hours while officers examined the scene. The investigation is continuing.
