61 Year Old Attacked – Ridgetown Man Faces Aggravated Assault

Yesterday morning, shortly after 11:00 a.m. a man entered a business on Main Street West in Ridgetown when he observed another patron sitting there. The man grabbed the patron and began to physically remove him from the property. During the altercation, the victim sustained serious injuries to his hand and shoulder. The victim was able to free himself and walked to a family member’s home for help. The 61-year-old Ridgetown man was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention.

Shortly after 2:00 p.m. officers located the suspect on Main Street and he was arrested. The 54-year-old Ridgetown man has been charged with aggravated assault. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
