Mailboxes and Stop Sign Vandalized

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Saturday morning November 02, 2013 shortly after midnight rural residents along Line 15 north of St.Marys discovered damage done to their mail and newspaper boxes. The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted a short time later however the culprits had already left the area.

Officers discovered other boxes that had also sustained damage. Residents spoken to reported seeing a dark pickup truck with a loud exhaust in the area of the damaged boxes. Approximately 7 boxes were damaged in the area of Line 15 west of Perth Road 130 and along Road 134 south of Avonbank. A stop sign at the intersection of Road 134 and Line 16 in Avonbank was also found to be knocked over.
