Man arrested after trying to disarm police officer

On November 3, 2013 at 4:30 p.m., the Guelph Police attended to Guelph General Hospital to assist with a male that was causing a disturbance. Police were able to convince the male to leave the hospital. On escorting him out, the male lunged at one of the officers and placed his hands on his holstered sidearm. The officers were able to get control of the male and place him under arrest.

A 60-year-old Kitchener man has been charged with attempt to disarm an officer. He will appear in bail court on November 4, 2013.
