On November 3, 2013 at 2:40 a.m., the Guelph Police attended to Gordon Street near downtown for the complaint of a robbery. Investigation alleges that the victim, a pizza delivery driver, was stopped in his vehicle at the side of Gordon Street when a man approached his vehicle and banged on the passenger side window. He opened the window and the male grabbed three pizza boxes from the vehicle and fled down the driveway of a nearby residence. The driver exited his vehicle to see where the male had gone and observed him ripping through the pizza boxes. When the man found that the boxes were all empty he became angry and charged at the driver, pushing him to the ground and assaulted him. He then fled the area but was located and arrested a short distance away by police.
Mason SWIFT, 18 years of Guelph has been charged with robbery. He will appear in court on December 13, 2013.
