OPP INVESTIGATING TRACTOR TRAILER ROLL OVER ON HWY 401

(Mallorytown,ON) On the 5th of November 2013 at around 3:00 a.m. Ontario Provincial Police in Leeds County were called to a tractor trailer roll over on Hwy 401 near mile marker 675.

A tractor trailer rolled over in the eastbound lanes of Hwy 401 blocking both lanes.

There was a minor diesel spill as a result of the crash, which was contained by the Front of Yonge Fire Department. Ministry of Transportation Officers attended the scene as well to assist the O.P.P.

The tractor trailer was carrying a full load of grapes when it crashed.

The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to Brockville General Hospital with minor injuries.

There are no backups or delays in traffic at this time. Hwy 401 eastbound at mile marker 675 remains closed and is expected to reopen at around 12 pm on 5th of November 2013. Eastbound traffic is being diverted through the eastbound service centre.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing at this time.
