(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is warning farmers of suspicious activities in the farming community after a break and enter was reported at Windham Road 2, Windham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
Between Friday, November 14, 2014 and Saturday, November 15, 2014, unknowns attended the address and gained entry into a locked barn located on the property. Once inside, unknowns proceeded to remove an unknown quantity of diesel fuel.
The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
The OPP recognize that break and enters continue to remain an all-too common occurrence in Canada, with more than 200,000 reported to police annually of which 6 in 10 are residential. Another 30% are businesses and 10% are other locations such as sheds and detached garages.
