Disturbance Call

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to an incident at a Norfolk County Road 21, North Walsingham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at approximately 2:52 p.m., police were called to an address out of safety concerns for a resident.

Investigation revealed that weapons may be involved in the incident and as a result, members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) and K9 Unit attended to assist.

For public safety reasons, Norfolk County Road 21 was closed between Highway 59, Forestry Farm Road, Middleton North Walsingham Townline Road and West QuarterLine Road at 13th Concession Road.

At approximately 8:07 p.m., one male was taken into police custody and transported to a local area hospital for examination.
