(Pembroke, Ontario) – On the 16th of November at approximately 10:00 pm the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the OPP was advised of a break enter and robbery with violence. The victim answered the door, and a male forced his way into the residence and assaulted the elderly female resident. The victim was transported to hospital. Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment as well as the Upper Ottawa Valley Crime Unit, ERT, K9 and Identification Unit attended the scene to investigate.
As a result of the investigation 19 year old Codie Dufault of the Twp. of Whitewater Region has been charged with the following:
Disguise with Intent
Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
Assault
Forcible Confinement
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Firearm – Use while committing offence
Robbery with Intent
Break, Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge contrary to the Criminal Code.
