(ESSA TOWNSHIP AND ADJALA-TOSORONTIO TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Sunday the 23rd of November 2014 at 10:00 p.m. an officer with the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol, conducted a vehicle stop on County Road 50 at the 25th Sideroad in the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio Township. After investigating the driver, it was determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol.
The male driver, 36-year old Christopher NOYE from the Town of New Tecumseth was arrested and charged with:
Impaired Driving
Over 80mgs of alcohol
Fail to comply with Undertaking conditions
Fail to have Insurance Card
Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
Fail to notify change of address
He is scheduled to appear before the courts on the 18th of December 2014 in answer to his charges.
Shortly, after at 10:10 p.m. a concerned motorist dialled 911, to report an erratic driver on Elphick Street in Angus, Essa Township. An officer with the Nottawasaga OPP responded, and located the vehicle. The driver was investigated and was found to also be Impaired by alcohol.
