(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 27, 2014 at approximately 8:54 p.m. a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) officer was on patrol near Brock Road and Wellington Road 34, Puslinch Township. An Audi was observed by police leaving a business parking lot. It began to drive northbound on Brock Road in the wrong lane and towards oncoming traffic. The male driver was stopped and the officer observed marihuana within the vehicle. While affecting the arrest, the driver was not cooperative and showed resistance towards police.
Gurbinder Singh VIRK age 21 of Brampton has been charged with;
Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams- Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Dangerous Driving-Criminal Code (C.C.)
Resist Arrest-C.C
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 23, 2015 to answer the charges.
