(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On November 28, 2014 at 7:43 p.m., a member of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting patrol on Highway 520 in Whitestone Township. A northbound blue Ford was travelling much slower than the posted speed limit. Police initiated a traffic stop and determined the driver had consumed alcohol.
As a result of the officer’s investigation, Neil JOHNSTON, 55 years of age from Whitestone Township, was arrested and charged with the following:
1. Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol, contrary to the Criminal Code (CC)
2. Breach of Probation Order, contrary to the Provincial Offences Act (POA)
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on January 8, 2015 to answer to his charges.
