(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On December 4, 2014 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint related to a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner in the Bobcaygeon area.
An officer was able to locate the vehicle in a Bobcaygeon business parking lot and determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. As a result of the investigation, Joseph ARSENAULT, 83 years of age, of Bobcaygeon was arrested and now faces the following charges:
Impaired driving, contrary to the Criminal Code
Having care and control of a motor vehicle while having more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood contrary to the Criminal Code
Driving while under suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on January 8, 2015.
