(BLUEWATER, ON) – A 29 year old female driver is facing charges of Speeding & Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol following a traffic stop on December 5, 2014. Just before 8:30 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a black Toyota Corolla travelling southbound on London Road at a high rate of speed. The officer measured the vehicle’s speed with a RADAR device and locked the driver’s speed at 107 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
A traffic stop was initiated and the Corolla was pulled over just south of Hensall on London Road. Upon speaking with the female driver the investigating officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening test was administered and the driver registered a fail. She was arrested for Driving a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She was transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment where she provided two samples of her breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician. Both of her tests registered over the legal limit.
As a result, 29 year old Tiffany DERUELLE from Goderich has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on January 5, 2015. She received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and her motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
