(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) -The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision which occurred on December 16, 2014 at approximately 4:19 p.m.
A white BMW car had been travelling westbound on 13 Mile Road. It collided in the intersection with a white Ford pickup truck, which had been travelling southbound on Adelaide Road. 13 Mile Road is governed by stop signs.
The lone occupant of the BMW, a 58 year old female, is deceased. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The lone occupant of the pickup, a 19 year old male, was transported by ambulance to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are attending the scene.
Adelaide Road is closed between 14 Mile Road and 12 Mile Road. 13 Mile Road is closed between Richmond Street and Highbury Avenue, and is expected to be closed for some time, to assist with the investigation. Motorists will have to find alternative routes.
