(KAPUSKASING, ON.) – On Monday, December 15, 2014, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Kapuskasing detachment initiated an investigation with the assistance of the James Bay Detachment Crime Unit regarding the allegations of a break and enter event at a residence on Hazel Street in Kapuskasing, Ontario.
The information initially received by police indicated that the family dog at the involved residence had died as a result of sustaining injuries during a recent break and enter occurrence.
A comprehensive police investigation has revealed that the information regarding the alleged break and enter and death of the family dog was false.
No charges have been laid as police conclude their investigation.
