OPP AND GLENCOE DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FACE OFF IN CHARITY HOCKEY GAME DECEMBER 19

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On Friday December 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be taking to the ice against students from Glencoe District High School in the 13th Annual Dale Wagar Memorial Hockey Game.

Over the last 13 years officers and students from the local high school hockey team have battled for bragging rights. This year it is anticipated over 300 students from area schools will bring much needed non-perishable food items as they cheer on their favourite team. Members of the Middlesex OPP Auxiliary Unit will be on hand collecting the food items from the spectators and delivering it all to the Glencoe Food Bank, who prepare and distribute Christmas baskets for more than 200 families in the Glencoe area in time for the holiday season.

The Middlesex OPP is proud to participate in such a worthwhile community event and would like to invite members of the local media to come and see the true spirit of giving by our local youth.
