Small Amount Of Weed At RIDE

(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On December 17, 2014 at approximately 9:42 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E spot checks on Townline Road near Roszell Road in Puslinch Township.

Officers investigated the driver of a motor vehicle that entered into check point and immediately detected the strong odour of fresh marihuana. The driver surrendered 3 baggies that contained bud and a green leafy substance which was suspected to be marihuana.

Helder Jose Sousa age 30 of Cambridge has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 23, 2015 to answer to the charge.
