(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) – On Friday December 19, 2014, Perth and Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were informed of a two vehicle collision that had occurred at the intersection of Road 138 and Perth Line 8 (west of St.Marys).
Investigation revealed that at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Friday December 19, 2014, a Honda Pilot was driving south bound on Road 138. The Honda failed to yield to traffic on Perth Line 8 striking an east bound Ford pickup. The driver of the Honda did not stop but continued south bound on Road 138 leaving the scene of the collision. The Ford pickup truck driver followed the Honda and observed it drive through numerous stop sign controlled intersections without stopping. The Honda entered Huron County and its driver eventually stopped for the driver of the Ford pickup truck on Hern Road near Hwy 23. No one was injured as a result of this incident.
Sandra MCNAUGHTON (52) of London has been charged “dangerous operation of a motor vehicle†contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She has also been charged with “fail to remain†contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. She is to appear at the Stratford Ontario Court of Justice on January 26, 2014 to answer to these charges.
