(CARNARVON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Sunday December 21, 2014 at 1:35 pm the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Manitoulin Detachment officers conducted a R.I.D.E. spot check at the junction of Yonge and Government Road in Carnarvon Township. A Dodge Caravan entered the R.I.D.E. check an officer detected an odor of Cannabis Marijuana. As a result of further investigation a quantity of a controlled substance was seized.
Lawrence MONIZ age 51 of Central Manitoulin Township, Ontario has been charged with Possession of Cannabis Marijuana. He was released on an Appearance Notice to attend Gore Bay at Ontario Court of Justice.
