Santa, Frosty and Grinch Attacked With Edged Weapon

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is looking to the public to report suspicious activity after police investigated an incident at a King Lane, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Monday, December 22, 2014 at approximately 12:27 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned homeowner after observing two unknown suspects damaging various Christmas decorations located on the front lawn of the residence.

Through investigation it was determined that two unknowns suspects attended the residence and used an edged weapon to damage a Santa Clause, Frosty The Snowman and Grinch inflatable decorations. Both suspects fled from the area and were last seen heading westbound on Robinson Street.

The Norfolk County OPP is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.

Police feel it is imperative that those who commit mischief know and fully understand that there are consequences for their negative behaviour and that the Norfolk County OPP will hold everyone accountable for acts of vandalism or mischief by anyone. It is important that these offenders understand the impact their negative acts have on their communities.
